His Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa is a fully enlightened being, holder of the Karma Kagyu lineage which Karma Migyur Ling belongs to. Recognized as the 17 th incarnation of the Karmapas, the Bouddha, in his time, declared :
"In the country of the North, will appear the one who makes the good increase, the supreme spiritual friend, the one who has the greatest power of Enlightement (...) the one who will be listened to."
We have the great pleasure to announce the exceptional visit of H.H. Trinley Thaye Dorje in Montchardon. During his European tour in the summer, Gyalwa Karmapa will have a three-day stay in Montchardon.
Thursday August 20: Gyalwa Karmapa arrives in the afternoon, welcoming ceremony, traditionnal offerings

Mahakala représente l'aspect courroucé de l'amour et la compassion éveillés. Pernatchen est le principal protecteur de la lignée Kagyu.
(1) Please note it is required to have taken refuge in order to participate in any empowerment. It will be possible to do so just before the empowerment begins.

Gyalwa Karmapa will leave on monday 24th.
Teaching: "The 37 Practices of Bodhisattvas"
The teaching will be given by H.H. Gyalwa Karmapa, from the text by Thogme Sangpo, " 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva ". Developping love and compassion, practising the good for others, understanding vacuity and the nature of the mind and all phenomena, the 6 Paramitas, integrating all situations into the spiritual path ... The text deals with all the useful means which help developing a fair and profound attitude related to the altruistic ideal of the Bodhisattva and transform our daily life into a path of realization.
The teaching on this text started last year, but for those who did not attend the course, Gyalwa Karmapa will make a short introduction on the previous paragraphs and then pursue from the 22 nd stance on.
The Gyalwa Karmapa will teach this summer in other centers in France and Europe

Subscription
It is essential to subscribe in order to attend the teachings and the empowerment.
You may register through our special on-line secure booking form with your full credit card numbers. Your access card will be waiting for you at the front desk.
If you come without reservation, we will register you for the teachings, depending on seats avaibility. We won't be able to register you for lunches
Session fees : 21€ per teaching day
Teenagers 14-17 : 11€ per teaching day
Session fees remain unchanged for half a day teaching.
Accommodation
No accommodation at all will be possible at Karma Migyur Ling, not even camping, since we need the rooms for the invited lamas, the people with them and our staff. You will find here a list of hotels, guesthouses and camping sites in the area
Meals
Only lunch (vegetarian) will be proposed on location, but according to availability and upon subscription only. Cost: 8 € per lunch
Children
We are not in the position to organize child caring, so parents will have to get organized to mind their children alternately. For everyone's peace and quietness, we ask parents to bring their children to the temple only if they are able to stay calm and under their constant minding.
Access to Montchardon
During this period,we suggest you to circulate this way on the road from Izeron :
- driving up to Montchardon: 8AM till 10AM and 1:30PM till 3PM
- driving down from Montchardon: noon till 1PM and after 5PM
Beware, locals will of course be driving both ways.
We invite everybody to share their car as much as possible: most notably in Izeron.
Shuttle service
Since there will be no accommodation at Karma Migyur Ling, there will be no shuttle service by the center between August 21st-23 rd . If you are without a car and staying in nearby accommodations, you should get a taxi to Izeron and then join people driving up to Montchardon. It is best to be in Izeron at 9.00 and 14.00. Once at Karma Migyur Ling, you will be able to make arrangements with other people for your return.
